Quartz glass has its own unique optical properties. It is the best ultraviolet material and can pass through visible light and near infrared spectrum. Because quartz glass is resistant to high temperature, the coefficient of thermal expansion is very small, the chemical stability is good, the bubble, the stripe, the uniformity, the birefringence can compare with the general optical glass, is the high stability optical system essential optical material. Among them, the common window slice materials are JGS1, JGS2 and JGS3. JGS1 has excellent uv transmittance, especially in the short-wave ultraviolet region. Its transmittance is far better than that of all other glasses. Its transmittance can reach 90% at 185m, and it has a strong absorption peak at 2730nm. JGS2 has an absorption peak at 2730nm, which is a good material in the range of 220-2500 nm band. JGS3 has high infrared transmittance, with a transmittance of more than 85%. It is applied to optical materials with a band range of 260 to 3500nm.
