Product situation


Zinc selenide is a yellow transparent polycrystalline material with a crystalline particle size of about 70 nm and a transmittance range of 0.5-15 nm. The method synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) has no impurity absorption and very low scattering loss. Due to the small absorption of 10.6 μm wavelength light, it has become the preferred material for optical devices in high-power CO2 laser systems. It is also a widely used material in different optical systems in the whole transmittance band.

Zinc selenide has a high transmittance in the 600nm-16 nm band and is commonly used in thermal imaging, infrared imaging, and medical systems. Because of its low absorption rate, zinc selenide is especially suitable for high-power CO2 lasers. Zinc selenide has a high resistance to thermal shock, making it the best optical material for high power CO2 laser system. Hardness is only 2/3 of the multispectral ZnS, the material is soft and easy to produce scratches, and the material refractive index is larger, so the surface needs to be plated with a high hardness anti-reflection film to protect and obtain a higher transmittance. In its usual spectral range, the scattering is very low. When used as high power laser devices, it is necessary to strictly control the absorption of the material and internal structure defects, and adopt the polishing technology with the minimum damage degree and the coating technology with the highest optical quality.
 

Matters needing attention


Zinc selenide material is relatively soft (hardness of noughter's 120), easy to brush flowers, recommended not to be used in harsh environments. Be extra careful when holding and cleaning. Use even force when holding or wiping. Wear gloves or rubber finger covers on the zui to prevent stains. Do not use tweezers or other tools.
